Here are my Cork legwarmers! I knit these twice as they were too loose the first time. But now they fit me perfectly, and here's how I made them:

The legwarmers are worked from top to bottom.

Cast on 30sts with 7 1/2 mm needles, using black yarn.

Work in k2 p2 rib doing stripes of 4 rows black then 4 rows grey, until 15 stripes in total have been worked.

Next stripe (grey): Work 2 rows.

Next row: *k2, p1 m1 p1* rep to last 2 sts, k2.

Next row: *p2, k3* rep to end, p2.

Continuing in this new k2 p3 rib, work one more black stripe, then cast off in rib and seam up the back.
